BIOGRAPHY

Stephanie Heroux

Stephanie Heroux has toured internationally as a Dancer/Dance Captain for Royal Caribbean International, and performed locally with the The Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Lorraine Chapman The Company, and as a principal dancer for ACE Entertainment. She also studied under Matt Mattox and Chet Walker at The School at Jacob’s Pillow, and holds a B.A. from Boston University in English Literature and Business Administration. She is currently working towards a DPT with a Dance Medicine focus. In 2005, Ms. Heroux founded Jazz Inc Dance, Boston’s leading jazz dance company specializing in concert jazz dance and commercial theatre. Clients include 28 degrees, The Boston Design Center, Saks 5th Ave., Bicardi, Pearl Vodka, The Boston Bruins, The Boston Red Sox, Isoci Salon, and HGTV. Under Ms. Heroux’s direction, Jazz Inc produced BLINK at the OBERON in 2011, crowned one of the Top Ten Theatre Picks by The Boston Globe, and Escaping the Frame at the Somerville Theatre in 2014, a multimedia spectacle, interweaving live jazz performance with original photography and film. Ms. Heroux teaches master classes and choreographs for dance and theatre companies across New England, including Harvard University’s Mainly Jazz Dance Company. Currently, Ms. Heroux is on faculty at The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Ballet Arts Center of Winchester, the A.R.T./MXAT Institute at Harvard University, and Emerson College. She also directs The Jeannette Neill Children’s Dance Program and choreographs for ACE Entertainment.
