Middletown
A.R.T. Institute Season
October 7 & 8, 2016
“Reminiscent of Thornton Wilder’s 'Our Town,' if it had been penned by Dr. Seuss and edited by Samuel Beckett.”
Chicago Tribune

Written by Will Eno
Directed by Marcus Stern
Featuring actors from the A.R.T. Institute class of 2017

A mechanic who wrestles with alcohol, pills and meteors. A handyman who can’t find a job. A philosophical librarian. Setting humor amidst heartbreak, Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Will Eno (Thom Pain, The Flu Season, The Realistic Joneses) meditates on life in Middletown with his signature blend of absurdity and beauty.
