OBERON

OBERON is the A.R.T.’s second stage, a destination for theater and nightlife on the fringe of Harvard Square. In addition to offering work from the A.R.T’s main season, OBERON is also a thriving incubator for emerging artists to imagine new projects that could only exist in this exciting club theater environment. Hundreds of artists and performance groups brought work to the space each year. OBERON regularly features local performers including aerialists, beat poets, food artists, tap dancers, gender-bending sketch troupes, comedians, hula-hooping burlesquers, and pop-and-lock human statues to name but a few.

No outside food or beverages will be allowed into the theater.

OBERON has many different configurations. The seating configuration pictured below is in use for The Donkey Show. For all other OBERON performances, contact the Box Office at 617.547.8300 for further information about configurations.

Public Transit 

Red line to Harvard Square. Exit at Massachusetts Avenue and walk down Massachusetts Avenue toward Central Square, until you reach the intersection of Arrow St. and Massachusetts Avenue.

Driving 

From North or South, take Route I-93 to the Storrow Dr. exit, following signs for Cambridge. Storrow Dr. becomes Soldier’s Field Rd. Follow directions from Soldier’s Field Road.

From West, take Mass. Turnpike to exit at Allston tolls. Follow signs to Cambridge, and enter Storrow Drive/Soldier’s Field Rd. Follow directions from Soldier’s Field Road.

From Soldier’s Field Road, exit Soldier’s Field Rd. at Harvard Square, turn right onto JFK St. and cross Memorial Dr. Turn right onto Mt. Auburn St., left onto Putnam Ave., and immediately left onto Mass Ave. Take a slight left onto Arrow Street. OBERON is located at the corner of Mass Ave. and Arrow St.

OBERON is fully wheelchair accessible via the main entrance on Massachusetts Avenue and there is a ramp from Mount Auburn St. to the Massachusetts Ave. entrance.
