The Loeb Drama Center also contains the Loeb Ex, or Experimental Theater, a “black box” that is used by the A.R.T.’s Institute for Advanced Theater Training and by the HRDC.
The Ex
*From North or South, take Route I-93 to the Storrow Drive exit, following signs for Cambridge. Storrow Drive becomes Soldiers Field Road.
*From West, take the Massachusetts Turnpike and exit at Allston tolls. Follow signs to Cambridge and take a left onto Storrow Drive/Soldiers Field Road.
Exit Soldiers Field Road at Harvard Square, turn right onto John F. Kennedy Street (indicated on maps as JFK St.), and cross the river and Memorial Drive. Follow JFK St. and then turn a sharp left towards Brattle. Take a right at Brattle and continue a quarter of a mile. The Loeb Drama Center will be on your left.
Water, soda, beer, wine, coffee, and snacks are available in the lobby before all A.R.T. performances and during intermissions.

Stairs: The theater is fully wheelchair accessible with an automatic door from the sidewalk located near the corner of Brattle and Hilliard Streets. The lobby and entrance to the theater are all at sidewalk level.
Handrails: n/a
Restrooms: A wheelchair-accessible bathroom is located to the left as you face the box office in the front lobby (ushers or reception desk personnel will direct you).
Hearing: The theater is equipped with an infrared amplification system for the hard of hearing; headsets must be reserved in advance from the box office.
Vision: There is no obstructed view in the EX.
