Leopold Lowe (Prince of Morocco in The Merchant of Venice) appeared last season as 'Huntsman'/ Haberdasher in The Taming of the Shrew. He is a second-year actor at the American Repertory/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University, where he has been seen as Ben in After You and Ernst in Best Intentions, as well as in Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo, Hiroshima Mon Amour, and The Cherry Orchard. Lowe also appeared last summer in Boston's Commonwealth Shakespeare Company production of As You Like It as Oliver. He has a BA in theatre arts from the California State University, Northbridge, where he appeared as Kinesias in Lysistrata, Malcolm X in The Meeting, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and the Slave/Narrator in Hating to See the Sunrise. He toured to Lagos, Nigeria, playing Malcolm X in El Hajj Malik. Los Angeles credits include Thami in My Children, My Africa (Artistic Director's Award and Best Supporting Actor nomination) at both the Simon Wiesenthal and Synthaxis Theatres, Walter Lee in A Raisin in the Sun at Black Theatre Ensemble, and Frederick Douglas in Sammy at Actors' Alley. His film and television credits include the lead role of Jefferson in Locked-In, for Lampe Productions, and the role of Garth in the series Homeboys in Outer Space.
