Jovan Rameau (Florizel in The Winter's Tale) graduated in 2000 from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University with an MFA in acting. He also holds a BFA in drama from the University of Southern California where he appeared as Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. His roles at the A.R.T Institute included Orsino in Twelfth Night, Konstantin Treplev in The Seagull, and Time and the Pig in The Blue Bird (the latter two productions presented at the Moscow Art Theater [MXAT]). He also played the Blind Spider and TV Ariel in The Island of Anyplace at the American Repertory Theater. Mr. Rameau recently appeared as Prince of Thebes in the Oedipus Plays, sharing the stage with Avery Brooks and Earle Hyman in the Herode Atticus amphitheater at the Acropolis in Greece. He also appeared as Fortinbras in Hamlet at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. Mr. Rameau played Burgandy, a French Captain, and a Heroic Servant while serving as understudy for Edgar in King Lear opposite Avery Brooks at the Yale Repertory Theatre. He also appeared as a guest star on The Nanny and played the lead Reporter in a spoof of the film Mission to Mars.
