Jefferson Breland is a 1996 graduate of the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. As a member of New York's Ridge Theater, he rebuilt the role of Mr. Johnson in their 1997 production of Every Day Newt Berman, in addition to performing in the world premieres of Mac Wellman's The Sandlewood Box, The Damned Thing, and Jennie Richee. Other theater credits include Earl Hill in Book of Days at Arena Stage, Lennie in Of Mice and Men at South Coast Repertory and Virginia Stage Company, Sam in All Men Are Whores at Upstairs Theatre (Pittsburgh), Diego in Garden (A Lorca Projet) at the Horace Mann Theatre, Mickey in Hurlyburly, Abhorson in Measure for Measure at Seattle Shakespeare Festival, and many more. Television credits include a recent appearance as Kevin Stoltz on HBO's The Wire; Third Watch (directed by Nick Gomez), Law and Order, and Law and Order: SVU. Film work includes Vinnie Black in Memphis Bound and Gagged by director/writer Tamar Halpern, Fathead in the Jimmy Show by director/writer Frank Waley, Authorized Installer, and Bitsy & The Yegg.
