Heidi Nelson

Heidi Nelson received her MFA in dramaturgy from the A.R.T. Institute for Advanced Theatre Training in 2009 and her BA in Theatre Performance from Northeastern University in 2006. She most recently served as the dramaturg for the American Repertory Theater's Elliot Norton Award-winning production of Samuel Beckett's Endgame (2009). She was assistant dramaturg for the A.R.T.'s Copenhagen (2008). Heidi was also dramaturg for the world premiere of Ellen McLaughlin's Ajax in Iraq at the A.R.T. Institute (2008). Her work on Ajax in Iraq inspired her master's thesis, "Soldier Stories Onstage," which examines theatrical productions that focus on soldier experience. Heidi lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and works as a freelance dramaturg in the Boston area.
