Christopner McCann played the role of Halvard Solness in The Master Builder. Previously he was seen in Beth Henley's Impossible Marriage with Holly Hunter at the Roundabout Theatre. Off-Broadway he has appeared in the title role of Richard III and as Bolingbroke in Richard II in Ron Daniels's productions and as DeFlores in Robert Woodruff's production of The Changeling (Theatre for a New Audience); in The Devils, and Mad Forest (New York Theatre Workshop); in The Grey Zone (MCC); in Howard Korder's The Lights (Lincoln Center), for which he won an Obie Award and a Drama Desk Nomination; in the original New York production of Buried Child; and in several productions at the New York Shakeaspeare Festival, including Don Juan, The Golem, Richard III, and most recently, Tony Kushner's The Dybbuk. In the late seventies he appeared in Boston in the Theatre Works productions of The Curse of the Starving Class, Outside the Door, and Tongues/Savage Love. Other resident credits include Hartford Stage, Yale Repertory Theatre, Center Stage, American Conservatory Teatre, LaJolla Playhouse, The Goodman Theater, and Lucien Pintilie's production of The Wild Duck for Arena Stage and the Guthrie. Mr. McCann's film credits include Fiona, Macbeth in Manhattan, and 67, and on television he has appeared in "Repair Shop," "Law and Order," "Miami Vice," and "Path to Paradise." He is the recipient of a Fox Fellowship.
