Paul Buttenwieser is a psychiatrist and the author of two novels. He was appointed to the A.R.T. Advisory Board in 1984, was Chairman from 1992-1999 and is a founding member of the Board of Trustees. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Contemporary Art, a Trustee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and an Honorary Trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He and his wife, Katie, founded The Family-to-Family Project in 1988 to work with families who are homeless. A member of Harvard's Board of Overseers, 2001-2007, he has had a long involvement with the arts, public service, medicine, and education at Harvard and beyond.
