Nathan Davis

Oedipus (Percussion). Co-founder of the mixed sextet Non Sequitur and the cello/percussion duo Odd Appetite, performing in the U.S., Europe, and Cuba. He also performs with Boston Modern Orchestra Project and with MIT's Gamelan Galak-Tika. Has recorded solo and chamber works for Bridge, Cold Blue, and Centaur Records. As a composer, was a winner of the 2003 ISCM Composers Competition, has received two awards from Meet the Composer, and will soon release a CD of his music on Capstone Records. Received BM from Rice University, artist diploma from the Rotterdams Conservatorium (on a Fulbright to the Netherlands), and MM from Yale School of Music. Has taught percussion since 1999 at Dartmouth College, where he also directs the new music ensemble.
