Candice Brown (the Mother in Nocturne) played the role of Gretchen in the Boston Playwrights' Theatre's production of Sam Spade and has also appeared at the Utah Shakesperean Festival in the roles of Phoebe in As You Like It, Katherine in Love's Labour's Lost, and the Duchess of York in Richard III. Ms. Brown has also performed many roles at Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival, the Stephen Foster Memorial Theatre in Pittsburgh, and at the American Southwest Theatre Company.
