You, the audience, have the freedom to roam the environment and experience a sensory journey as you choose what to watch and where to go. Rediscover the childlike excitement of exploring the unknown in this unique theatrical adventure.
Sleep No More
An abandoned school. Shakespeare’s fallen hero. Hitchcock’s shadow of suspense.
Award-winning British theater company Punchdrunk makes its U.S. debut with Sleep No More, an immersive production inspired by Shakespeare’s Macbeth, told through the lens of a Hitchcock thriller.
In the News
"The attention to detail is, frankly, overwhelming. . . . I have been seeing it in dreams ever since."
Boston Globe Sunday Magazine perspective: The groundbreaking show Sleep No More has given me, and Greater Boston, a much-needed, exhilarating jolt.
Wicked Local Brookline: ...we’re in uncharted territory here, with an offbeat and immersive theater experience that’s part art installation, part haunted house, part macabre ballet, and part Macbethian nightmare.
guardian.co.uk: The pumpkins are out on the street in Massachusetts and the shops are full of Halloween. But if there's one thing that's likely to spook out Bostonians this autumn it's the arrival of British theatre company Punchdrunk.
Variety review: Theatergoers often hear the expression "entering the world of the play," but few will have experienced anything like "Sleep Mo More" when it comes to total audience immersion.
EDGE Boston: Part haunted house, part art installation, part Art Decoed Jacobean melodrama, Sleep No More is far more than a theatrical gimmick -- this is immersion theater taken to level of high art.

Thank You, Punchdrunk and A.R.T.
I attended "Sleep No More" twice, and both shows were the most invigorating, profound, and thrilling theater experiences of my life. My deepest gratitude to the cast, crew, and people responsible for making this fantastic show a dream-laden reality. A.R.T., Please bring Punchdrunk back to the states in the future, and continue bringing innovative theater to the Boston area. I support you in every way I can.
Music
Is there any way to get a list of the songs used?
Heading to the west coast?
It would be an amazing chance to get to enjoy such a profound experience, just reading about it and seeing what those who've been to see have said I am infatuated. Any plans to head to the Seattle area in the future?
A treat
My daughter got tickets for her sister and me to this unusual production and I must say I was impressed with the experience. I even had the good fortune to experience the intimate personal performance with Hecate. To experience the willing suspension of disbelief on a one-to-one level was thought provoking and I'll always remember.
performance schedule
Is Sleep No More coming to Chicago or anywhere in the midwest? I have heard amazing reviews.
Missing Nothing
If you embrace the experience you are having, surrendering to it completely, and not worrying about the experiences of others, or the experience you "could" be having, then you are missing nothing. It is not about "getting it right" or "seeing all of the scenes," it is about experiencing the events as you discover them. Each overall experience is ephemeral and contingent upon a person's choices. Put another way, this month there will be 300 different shows that happen in one night, 1,200 different shows in a week, and 4,800 in a month.
To "missin nothing", I saw
To "missin nothing", I saw nothing. I enjoyed the set, but saw no scenes involving acting. I only saw actors running up and down hallways and stairs. I think I may have missed something afterall. Especially after reading this comment page and the facebook page.
We couldn't have put it better ourselves.

Thank you, Colin. After
Thank you, Colin. After hearing audience responses, I found it helpful to say it. Especially since it does not reveal any of the secrets of SNM. A. LaFrance
This show is the best I've seen
Sleep No More is like no other show I've ever seen (even the best ones don't compare). I come out and want to go right back in. After seeing the show twice already I would love to go at least a couple more times... BUT it is totally sold out as we all know. I know its a long shot but I though I'd add my voice to the chorus pleading to extend the run
